Ingredients

1 can whole beets
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Cut beets in slices or cubes.
Mix sugar and cornstarch.
Add vinegar and water; boil for 5 minutes.
Add beets to hot sauce and let stand at least 30 minutes.
Just before serving, bring to a boil and add butter.
