Ingredients

2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Sift the flour with spices, salt and soda and add alternately with sour cream to creamed mixture. Add nuts.
Knead together well.
Place in refrigerator trays, wrapped in waxed paper and chill overnight.
Slice and bake in a 400\u00b0 oven until brown.
Makes 72 (2 x 4-inch) cookies.
