Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar (white)
6 ripe bananas, mashed
4 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour (plain)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. nuts (walnuts), chopped and floured
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream shortening and sugar together, then add bananas, eggs and vanilla.
Mix well.
Blend flour, salt and vanilla.
Mix well.
Blend flour, salt and baking soda together, then add to the above mixture.
(Do not overmix.)
Fold in chopped nuts.
Prepare 3 (2 pound) aluminum foil loaf pans by spraying with Pam.
Pour batter into pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
Test with round toothpick.
