Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft shortening
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. sifted Gold Medal flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly shortening, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar and egg.
    Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Chill dough.
    Roll into balls size of large walnuts.
    Place 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Flatten with fork dipped in flour.
    Crisscross.
    Bake until set, but not hard.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 (quick moderate oven).
    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Amount: about 3 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies.
