Pineapple Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
    powdered sugar
    shortening
Preparation
    Place butter or margarine in bowl and melt in microwave, or soften at room temperature.
    Cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer for 2 minutes on high speed.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
    Add dry ingredients (except powdered sugar) and mix.
    Drain pineapple and add to the ingredients and stir with a spoon until blended.
    Pour batter into 9 x 13-inch pan, greased with shortening, and bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut into 24 bars.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
