Marie Gravier'S Forty-Niner'S Mulligan - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. beef
1/4 lb. bacon, sliced
1/2 lb. pork sausage
2 large onions
3 cloves garlic
4 potatoes
1 1/2 c. macaroni, uncooked
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 lb. shrimp
2 oz. dry mushrooms
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Cut bacon and beef into cubes.
Fry together with crumbled sausage.
Remove most of fat.
Add chopped onions; fry until onions are clear.
Add garlic (minced).
Put in large kettle with water to cover and simmer until beef is tender.
Add hydrated mushrooms, potatoes (cut in chunks), chili powder, salt, pepper and shrimp.
Then add macaroni and more garlic, if desired.
Cook until well done.
Add more water if needed.
