Beef Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. water
    3 cans (10 1/2 oz.) condensed beef broth
    1 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1/2 inch chunks
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    4 medium carrots, sliced
    1 can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, drained
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. quick-cooking pearl barley
Preparation
    In a soup pot, combine all the ingredients except the barley; cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the barley and simmer for 15 to 20 more minutes, or until the barley is tender.
