American Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (9-inch) pastry shells
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    5 to 6 c. sliced apples
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
    Stir sliced apples into mixture.
    Pour all ingredients into pastry shell.
    Cover with top crust pastry.
    Make slits in top. Cover edges with aluminum foil (remove foil during the last 10 minutes of baking).
    Bake for 40 to 60 minutes, until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits.
