Grandma'S Gingerbread Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. molasses
1/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. milk
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. each: baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, ground cloves and powdered ginger
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Butter cookie sheets.
Heat molasses to boiling point, then add sugar, butter and milk.
Mix flour with baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
Add to first mixture and blend well.
Add a few tablespoons of water (enough so dough holds together and handles easily).
Chill mixture for easier handling.
Roll or pat out dough about 1/4-inch thick.
Cut into gingerbread people.
Bake 5 to 7 minutes.
