Southern Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    chicken broth
Preparation
    Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Put in the shortening and gradually add about 2/3 cup chicken broth until a stiff dough results.
    Roll out on a floured board and cut into strips 1-inch wide and 2 to 2 1/2-inches long.
    Bring remaining chicken broth to
    a boil.
    Drop a few strips at a time into broth. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Serves 4.
