Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. unsifted whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. quick-cooking oats
1 c. chopped dried apricots or raisins
1 c. semi-sweet mini chips
Preparation

Cream shortening and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Add egg, water and vanilla; beat well.
Combine whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Stir in oats, dried apricots and mini chip chocolates.
