Okra And Tomato Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. fresh okra
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. green pepper
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 tomatoes, peeled and quartered or 1 c. canned tomatoes
Preparation
    Cut okra into 1/2-inch slices.
    Cook onions and green pepper in margarine until tender, but not brown.
    Blend in sugar, flour, salt and pepper.
    Add the 3 tomatoes and then the okra.
    Cook over low heat and, when it comes to boil, simmer 1/2 hour or more.
