Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew beef, cut in small size pieces (about the size of a quarter)
    2 1/2 c. peeled and coarsely diced potatoes
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 c. sliced carrots
    2 stalks celery (left whole)
    about 4 to 6 pieces beef fat (about the size of a fifty cent piece)
    water to cover
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    I cook this in
    slow cooker.
    Put all ingredients in and cook until meat and potatoes are done.
    After the celery is cooked for a while, I remove it.
    This is very good on a cold day or anytime.
