Chicken-In-A-Nest - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    2 c. cut up cooked chicken or turkey
    2/3 c. shredded carrots
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. herb seasoned stuffing mix
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. light cream or milk
    1 c. cooked peas
    1/2 c. chopped green or red onion
    1/8 tsp. sage
Preparation
    Melt butter in a saucepan.
    Add flour; cook, stirring, until bubbly and smooth.
    Remove from heat and gradually blend in broth. Heat, stirring, until thickened and smooth.
    Add cream, chicken, peas, carrots, onion, thyme and sage.
    Prepare stuffing mix according to directions.
    Press against sides and bottom of 1 1/2-quart glass baking dish to form crust.
    Pour hot mixture into crust.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6.
    May want to add slivered almonds, water chestnuts and a pimento for the holidays.
