Ingredients

2 c. white cornmeal
2/3 c. flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. buttermilk
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 c. oil
Preparation

Mix together buttermilk and eggs.
Stir together first 6 ingredients.
Stir well.
Add milk and eggs mixture, stirring until just moistened.
Heat oil in baking pan.
Pour into cornbread mixture and stir.
Pour back into baking pan (13 x 9-inch).
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
Excellent for dressing!
