Ham Broccoli Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced ham
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 c. half and half or cream
    2 c. water
    2 medium potatoes, cubed
Preparation
    Cook onion, broccoli and potatoes in 2 cups water until tender.
    Do not drain.
    Add other ingredients, except half and half.
    On low heat, cook until cheese is melted.
    Add half and half.
