Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. broken pretzels (small pieces)
    1 c. melted butter
    4 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
    2 c. pineapple juice or water
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    1 large pkg. frozen strawberries (whole or sliced; do not thaw)
Preparation
    Place pretzels and butter in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and bake 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Cool.
    Mix cream cheese and sugar.
    Spread on top of cooled pretzels.
    (The cream cheese mixture will spread better if you add a little of the Cool Whip with it.)
    Spread remaining Cool Whip on top of the cheese; chill. Next, dissolve jello in boiling water or juice.
    Stir in berries and allow to thicken almost to jellied point.
    Spread over topping and refrigerate.
    (If you use your own strawberries and they have sugar in them, only use 3/4 cup sugar.)
