Potatoes With Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 12 medium-large potatoes, thinly sliced (peeled or unpeeled as preferred)
    2 onions, finely chopped
    2/3 c. milk (skim, whole or evaporated)
    3/4 lb. sliced cheese (American, Swiss, mild Cheddar or a combination)
    salt and black pepper
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
    1 stick margarine, thinly sliced
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Into large casserole or Dutch oven, layer potatoes, margarine, onions, cheese slices, grated cheese and parsley.
    Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Repeat layers to within 1 to 1 1/2-inches of top of pan.
    Pour milk around and over the layers.
