Vanilla Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Melt butter and stir in sugar with a wooden spoon.
With spoon beat in eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a 1 pint measuring cup; stir.
Add to butter mixture; add nuts if desired.
Pour into a greased 9-inch square pan (mixture will be stiff).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut bars while still warm.
