Pink Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. canned milk
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. white Karo syrup
    6 drops red cake color
    2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
Preparation
    Cook everything except the vanilla to a firm ball stage or 250\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Add vanilla and beat until creamy and thick.
    Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
    Beat with wooden spoon.
