Divinity Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a very heavy pan, boil sugar, syrup, water and salt to hard-boil stage. Test by dropping into cold water. Pour mixture into egg whites gradually while beating at high speed for 5 minutes. Mixture becomes stiff and forms a peak. Drop quickly by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Garnish with pecan halves or drained maraschino cherries.
