Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
1 c. milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Combine flour, cornmeal, salt, sugar and baking powder.
Combine eggs, butter and milk; beat until blended.
Add to dry ingredients and mix just to blend.
Do not overbeat.
Pour into an oiled 8-inch square baking dish and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.
