Blueberry-Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. fresh blueberries or frozen, thawed and drained
3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening (1/2 Crisco, 1/2 margarine)
1 beaten egg
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift together first 4 ingredients.
Cut in shortening, using pastry cutter until texture of coarse crumbs.
Combine egg, milk and vanilla; add to flour mixture at once.
Stir very little.
Put in greased and floured muffin tins or drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 14 minutes.
