Elizabeth Pond'S Coconut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pie shell, unbaked
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 c. coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
    piece of butter the size of an egg
Preparation
    Mix sugar and flour together; beat egg, add sugar and flour a little at a time to egg, alternating with milk.
    Add vanilla; melt butter, add to mixture after the coconut.
    Beat with an electric mixer until mixed well.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
    Bake until done.
