Stuffed Cabbages - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. ground meat
1 c. rice (raw)
1 onion
2 cabbages
salt and pepper
1 can tomato sauce
Preparation

Fry onion in a little butter until soft.
Add meat and brown. Add cooked rice; let cool.
Boil water in a large pan.
Steam cabbage in water and cut off leaves, 1 at a time.
Drain on towel. Cut off thick part at the bottom of leaf.
Put 1 to 2 tablespoons of filling in bottom of leaf, fold over both sides and roll.
Line bottom of baking dish with scraps of cabbage.
Use cut up core and small leaves for cover.
Add can of tomato sauce or tomatoes, even soup.
Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour.
