Chess Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter
1 egg
1 (16 oz.) box confectioners sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt

Preparation

Combine cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg and mix well.
Press into bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Mix sugar, cream cheese, 2 eggs, vanilla and salt in mixing bowl.
Beat for 5 minutes.
Pour cheese mixture over cake mixture and bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 35 to 45 minutes.
Cool for several hours before cutting.
