Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water, white Karo and salt until it spins a thread from the spoon.
    Do not stir while cooking.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add 3 tablespoons of cooked mixture.
    Cook remaining mixture until it makes a crackling noise in cold water when dropped from a spoon.
    Gradually add to egg white mixture; beat until it can be dropped by teaspoonfuls.
    Before dropping, add vanilla and chopped pecans.
