Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 layer white or yellow cake (or angel food)
    1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz.)
    3 bananas, sliced
    3 boxes instant vanilla pudding, prepared
    2 pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
    1 container Cool Whip (8 oz.)
Preparation
    Slice cake across to make two layers.
    Place one layer in the bottom of the punch bowl.
    Punch holes in the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon.
    Add crushed pineapple with juice.
    Add sliced bananas.
    Layer on 1/2 of pudding.
    Add second layer of cake, then strawberries, then remaining pudding.
    Top with Cool Whip.
