Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Karo syrup (any light corn syrup)
    1/3 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts (anywhere from 1 to 2 c. will work all right)
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup and water until sugar is melted good and hot.
    Add peanuts.
    Cook until peanuts turn brown and the mixture is also looking a golden brown.
    This should be at the hard crack stage.
    (The syrup will spin a thread that turns brittle when dropped in cold water.)
