Mexican Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    3 c. corn tortilla chips
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1 tsp. chili powder
    dash of pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 can whole kernel corn, drained
    1/2 c. taco sauce
    12 slices processed American cheese
Preparation
    Combine melted butter with chips, tossing and coating well. Put 2 cups in shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    In skillet brown meat and onion, drain, add seasoning and mix well.
    Add tomato and taco sauce.
    Over the chips layer half the corn, half the meat and 6 slices of cheese.
    Repeat.
    Sprinkle remaining crushed chips over the top in diagonal strips.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until edges bubble.
