Rabbit Sauce Piquante - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 rabbits
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. flour
    2 medium onions, chopped
    3 cloves garlic
    3 ribs celery, chopped
    1 c. fresh mushrooms
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    2 c. water
    salt and pepper
    garlic salt
    lemon pepper
Preparation
    Cut rabbits into serving size pieces.
    Add salt, pepper, garlic salt and lemon pepper.
    Brown rabbits in shortening, add flour and brown well.
    Add onions, celery and garlic.
    Cook for 2 minutes.
    Add water and cream of mushroom soup.
    Pour mixture over rabbits.
    Cook for 25 minutes or until tender.
    Add fresh mushrooms.
    Simmer 5 more minutes. Serve with steamed rice.
