Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. sifted cake flour
3 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add one egg at a time, beating one minute after each addition.
Sift cake flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add milk and vanilla to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients.
Beat well after each addition.
Pour into greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Makes 4 thin layers.
