Apple-Cheese Sausage Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. bulk sausage
2 c. finely chopped tart apples
1/3 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. soft bread crumbs (whole wheat crumbs are great)
1 c. wheat germ
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Pat sausage into an oblong pan about 1/2-inch thick.
If you use waxed paper the job is much easier.
Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl.
Pat stuffing mixture on sausage and roll up like a jelly roll.
Place roll in a shallow pan on a roasting rack.
Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
Serves 8 to 10.
