Old Fashioned Potato Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium sweet potatoes
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 stick butter
    2/3 c. milk
    2 well beaten eggs
Preparation
    Wash potatoes; cut off ends.
    Cut potatoes crosswise in pieces of about 2 inches.
    Cook in boiling water until tender; drain off water.
    Mash potatoes.
    While hot, add butter first, then add the other ingredients.
    Beat until smooth.
    Pour mixture into uncooked pie shell.
    Bake for about 25 minutes at 375\u00b0.
