Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 qt. sliced cucumbers
6 onions
1 c. canning salt
6 c. sugar
6 c. vinegar
1/2 c. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. alum (optional)
1/2 tsp. turmeric (optional)
Preparation

Let set for 3 hours the cucumbers, onions and salt.
Then drain and rinse.
Add sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed, alum and turmeric.
Bring to boil, put in jars, can and seal.
