German Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 c. sour cream
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. nuts (large pieces)
    10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream; beat well.
    Add flour and baking powder.
    Beat thoroughly.
    Fold in nuts and cherries.
