Margaret'S Hungarian Plum Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
10 plums
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Let hot water run into a mixing bowl to heat, then dry.
Put in butter and cream.
Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1 egg.
Beat well, then add second egg.
Beat again.
Add flour, baking powder and salt. Stir and add flavoring.
Spread in buttered deep pie plate.
Cut plums in half and remove pits, do not peel.
Arrange in rows on batter, skin side down and press slightly.
Sprinkle with second 1/2 cup sugar mixed with cinnamon.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
