Quick "Baked" Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 cooking apples*
2 Tbsp. chopped raisins
2 Tbsp. chopped dates
2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 tsp. cornstarch
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 c. thawed frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate
sour cream or creme fraiche (optional)
Preparation

Microwave:
Remove peel from top and halfway down side of each apple, starting at stem end.
With apple corer or sharp knife, remove core to within 1/4 inch of bottom of apple, leaving bottom stem end intact.
Place apples in 9-inch microwavable pie plate or shallow baking dish.
