Chuck Wagon Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    6 potatoes, peeled and quartered
    6 carrots, sliced 1 1/2-inch
    1 onion, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Dust beef with flour.
    Brown in oil in heavy pot.
    Add remaining ingredients except tomato sauce.
    Cover with water. Simmer over low heat 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Add tomato sauce.
    Cook an additional 15 minutes.
