Perfect White Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    5 3/4 to 6 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 1/4 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine yeast and 2 1/2 cups flour.
    Heat milk, sugar, salt and shortening until warm.
    Stir occasionally for 1/2 minute, then beat 3 minutes at high speed.
