Light Fettuccine Alfredo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. skim milk
    2 small gloves garlic, minced
    2 tsp. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. fat-free cream cheese
    1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    4 c. hot cooked fettuccine
    1 lb. cooked shrimp or cubed chicken breasts (optional)
Preparation
    In medium saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk milk, garlic, flour and cream cheese.
    Bring to boil, whisking constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes or until thick.
    Add Parmesan, whisk until blended.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in melted butter.
    Add 1 pound cooked shrimp or chicken, if desired.
    Pour over hot fettuccine.
    Sprinkle with parsley and pepper, if desired.
    Serves 4.
