Ingredients

1 c. Shortening
1 c. White Sugar
1 c. Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 c. Sifted Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 c. Rolled Oats
2 c. Shredded Coconut
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift the flour, soda, baking powder and salt and add to the creamed mixture.
Add the vanilla, then stir in the oats and coconut.
Drop by teaspoonsful on greased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes,
in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Makes at least 6 dozen cookies.
