Sourdough Starter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. warm water
    1 1/4 c. unbleached flour
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place
    in
    glass or crock.
    Do not use metal container. Blend ingredients in a small bowl.
    Place in large wide-mouth jar, allowing room to expand double.
    Cover with cheesecloth; let stand
    4 to 5 days.
    Starter will have a strong sour odor and should be bubbly.
