*Sweetheart Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. can crushed pineapple
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. Knox gelatine, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. maraschino cherry juice
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 large pkg. cream cheese
    12 chopped maraschino cherries
    1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped
Preparation
    Put crushed pineapple and sugar in pan.
    Heat until the sugar melts.
    Add dissolved gelatine and cherry juice.
    Cook over low heat until blended.
    Add lemon juice.
    Mix cream cheese and cherries; mix thoroughly with pineapple mixture.
    When mixture begins to set, fold in whipped cream.
