Irish Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour, sifted
    1 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. raisins
    milk (enough to make a soft sticky dough, about 1 1/2 c.)
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening. Add dry ingredients and raisins.
    Add milk. Have milk at room temperature.
    Spoon into a long loaf pan.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
