Sweet And Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. boneless pork or chicken
    peanut oil
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt (for batter)
    1 egg
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple in syrup, drain and save syrup
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt (for sauce)
    1 green pepper, cut into chunks
    maraschino cherries for color
Preparation
    Cut up pork or chicken.
    Heat 1 inch oil in wok.
    Mix flour, cornstarch, water, 1/2 teaspoon salt and egg.
    Mix together to make batter.
    Stir meat in batter until coated, then fry.
    I use my fingers to coat the meat, I find it easier.
    Fry for 5 minutes. Drain on plate with paper towel.
