Orange Slice Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla, divided
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. (2 1/4 c.) orange slice candy, chopped
    1 c. pecans
    4 eggs
    2 c. plain flour
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix sugar with margarine. Stir in eggs; mix well, then add vanilla, 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Toss candy and nuts in the remaining 1/2 cup flour and add the mixture. Thoroughly grease a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Cool 15 minutes in pan. Cut in 2-inch squares. Cool. Cut in half again.
    Can sprinkle with powdered sugar on top.
