Carrot Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium carrots
    2 small onions, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/3 c. bread crumbs
    1/3 c. American cheese, grated
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Wash and peel carrots.
    Boil in salted water until tender.
    Saute onions in butter until golden.
    Place carrots in greased 1-quart baking dish and mash.
    Add onions and soup.
    Blend well, adding salt and pepper.
    Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese.
    Bake until bubbly, 25 minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6.
