Brunch Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked rice (mix brown and white)
    5 strips crisp bacon (save 2 Tbsp. drippings)
    8 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 grated carrot
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook rice as follows:
    boil 2 cups water; add a pinch of salt. Pour in 1/2 cup long grain brown rice and return to boil.
    Add 1/2 cup long grain white rice and return to boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
    Cook for about 30 minutes without stirring.
    Set aside.
