Potato Cheese Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes (2 c.)*
    2 c. cottage cheese
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1/4 c. onion, finely chopped
    dash of garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    *Can use 18 ounces frozen hash brown potatoes.
